First Post?

Doesn't it feel like the internet is falling apart? I mean this isn't really a novel observation to make, but every other day it seems like there's a new website falling apart - twitter, reddit, twitter again - and there really aren't any good alternatives. I keep using tumblr but even then it doesn't really satisfy the SOCIAL aspect of social media itch - although I might just be using it wrong. I hope dreamwidth turns out to be a good alternative.

I'm currently at work and finding it hard to even find the motivation for this internship - I don't think I'm doing enough or learning anything of great value but it's on me to utilize my time better. Don't get me wrong, reading law cases and writing case briefs is fun, but I would like to feel as though my draftsmanship is getting better. So far I've spent the past hour and a half setting up dreamwidth and idly browsing, and I spent all the time before that writing a scifi original short story I'm working on.

Guess I'll see where I go with all this.
